Transporation Session June 23

The Governor has called for a Special Session on June 23rd to consider legislation to address the transportation needs of the Commonwealth.  As co-chairman of the Northern Virginia Delegation, I feel it is imperative that we find a funding solution so that our roads system keeps up with the demands put on it.  To this end, I helped to organize a meeting of our Delegation and the Hampton Roads Delegation to discuss transportation issues uniques to our areas, in an effort to find a funding solution.  We found common principles that everyone could agree on and we agreed that the solution should be a three prong approach:  a Northern Virginia component, a Hampton
